American Fence Association Announces 2021 PRO Award winners
Formed in 2018, the PRO Awards recognize American Fence Association members who installed outstanding fence projects in the past year. In both Commercial and Residential, there are eight different categories including Access Control, Chain Link, Deck and Rail, Farm/Ranch/Agriculture, Ornamental, Wood, Vinyl, and Multi-Use, which combined two or more of the categories.

Project: Triple Tandem Automated Slide Gates
San Jose, California
Three-stage double tandem automated sliding gates to cover 180-feet of driveway for a high profile tech customer demanding greater security for their facility. It was a collaboration between many industry brands and manufacturers: Controlled Products, Capitol Steel, Econ Electronics, All-O-Matic, DKS DoorKing, Wallace Perimeter Security. The project also consisted of 2000LF of Wallace Rampart security wire mesh non-climb fencing, multiple automated driveway swing gates with directional entry/exit lanes, multiple matching pedestrian doors all with electric door hardware and access control for all gates and doors.

Project: Toyota Headquarters
Plano, Texas
9,600 square feet of custom composite deck. All substructure to be 2x4 treated pine 12” on centers to be set in top of concrete slab with aluminum brackets to be attached to boards and concrete. Two bridges to go over the Riverwalk, all deck board to be attached with screws and plugs to hide the screws.

Bi-parting swing gates (2) 6’ tall with 1” pickets, water jetted apartment logo, powder coated black, island fencing, access control.

Parma, Ohio
Removed old 4’ shadowbox fence and replaced each unit with a closed top picket fence.

Project: Bridge Development
Milpitas, California
This is a new construction housing a 400,000 square feet warehouse. A fence for two outdoor break areas was built utilizing both steel and beautiful Accoya wood that matches the building’s cladding. The result is an amalgam of beautiful clean lines, steel powder coated in black accentuating the elegance of the Accoya wood.

Project: Modern Custom Designed Pedestrian Gate
Simi Valley, California
Custom designed pedestrian gate with two additional panels to the left and right of the gate matching the design of the gate. The project included cutting the existing walls horizontally to accommodate the panels. All materials are finished with a charcoal powder coating.

Dallas, Texas
140 linear feet of 10’ tall tennis court with one access gate, half of the fence to custom cut to accommodate different elevations starting at 10’ tall and cut to 7’4” to shorter part all in black vinyl chain link and black post with triple rails.

Allen, Texas
Custom 3-story composite deck, all water-tight with special support 8x12x40x3/8 thick metal beam to hold weight of third story deck, hidden metal joist, composite deck with modified membrane roof, finish out from underneath with can lights, fan, grill/bar station. TV and first and second level have stainless steel cable railings and third level has custom iron railing with ½ post attach to the side with ½ horizontal bars 4” on center, all metal was primed and painted black. Removed windows and added a French door on third level to access deck.

600 linear feet of corral cedar fence with 6x6 post set 8’ on centers triple 2x6 horizontal boards, custom double swing electric wrought-iron gates with 6” post. LA500 operators and triple loops, 180 linear feet of custom railing on top of stone retaining wall. All holes for post to be core drill, 2” post, ½ x 2” flat bars horizontal approximately 4” on centers and primed and painted bronze color, specialty dog run with concrete moss strip, synthetic turf and 6’ black chain link, recess fire pit with composite deck benches.

Project: Flower Beach Access Gates
Panama City Beach, Florida
Custom aluminum beach access pedestrian gates with flower design, powder coated oil rubbed bronze. The small 4’ flower pedestrian gate has self-closing hinges with a gravity latch. The larger 6’ flower pedestrian gate has a locinox tiger hinge, recessed 1200 lb. weather-proof maglock, essex keypad, and request to exit button. This installation allows a private beach home access control on their boardwalk.

Project: Templeton
Parker, Texas
Approximately 2,000 linear feet of custom iron fence, 6’ tall with solid square bars, and triple channel every so often. A custom-entry arch gates with cedar wood, 2 liftmaster operators, to be connected to the house with a CAPXL call box, KP2000 key pad inside, loops, optex loops. The other two double-swing entry gates to match fence with LA 500 operators CAPXL access controls, loops, KP2000 on the inside, all access controls connect to mother board inside.
